Kids are crazy. And we like them this way. But sometimes the constant physical contact between kids can lead to some serious childhood skin infections;
1. Head Lice
An infestation of the scalp. (scientifically called “Pediculus humanus capitis”). The infestation causes an itchy rash on the scalp and on the neck. The louse causing the head lice is transmitted via physical contact with another kid’s head or by the mutual usage of  certain items (hair brush for example).

How To Treat:

Use medicated shampoos. Remove the eggs with a fine-toothed comb.

2. Scabies
Scabies infestation manifests itself with an itchy rash, most common between the fingers around the belly button or nipples.  Caused by a mite (tiny insect) that lives on the skin ( Sarcoptes scabiei) , infestation happens if there’s a direct contact (sometimes even via clothing) .

How To Treat:

Use  topical cream. Advise with your dermatologist.

3. Ringworm
Ringworm is caused by a fungal infection on the skin’s top layer. Very contagious.

How To Treat:

Topical cream for infection on the body / Antifungal medication for the scalp.
