Minoxidil…?
If you’re reading this - there’s a slight chance you are somewhat concerned about losing your hair. As you probably know, hair loss is a very
wide spread phenomena among men all over the world. But… did you also know that clinically proven hair loss treatments are within reach…??
Well, they are!
The hair loss treatment discussed in this article is called Minoxidil, though you may know it better by the name “Regain” or “Rogain” (trade names).
How does it work?
Chemically speaking, Minoxidil is a potassium channel agonist. (contains nitric oxide ), a blood vessel dilator. Minoxidil has a tendency to stimulate hair growth and inhibit hair loss. Minoxidil was suspected to act by activating the guanylate cyclase enzyme involved in vasodilation.
Most Minoxidil based products require contact with hair strands. To keep the minoxidil solution from affecting normal hair styling applications (Gel, etc.), it can be washed out after 45 minutes, but this may decrease the effect. For maximum effect (and conxequential results) , the Minoxdil solution should be in contact with the scalp for around 3.5 ours. Hair styling devices are alloweded as soon as the solution has dried.
