Chances are that at one point in your life you either have or will deal with the burning and itching of hemorrhoids. Everyone has hemorrhoids and if they don’t take care of themselves they will find themselves like so many Americans; dealing with burning itching swollen hemorrhoids. In this article I will discuss the five most popular hemorrhoids home treatments. First we need to understand the cause of this problem; hemorrhoids are caused by swelling in the veins in the anus. This swelling is caused by constipation, poor diet, and by too much pressure on your anus.

1. Diet and exercise

So the obvious first hemorrhoids home treatment is diet and exercise. It is important for you to drink 6-8 glasses of water on a daily basis to avoid constipation. Also you want to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and stay away from fried foods, cheeses, sugar and salt. These will cause constipation and only worsen your flare up. Another must to keep you from becoming constipated is fiber. Add a lot of fiber in your diet. Exercise is just as important and should be done daily to stay healthy.

2. Vitamin E

The next hemorrhoids home treatment is to apply Vitamin E to the hemorrhoids this will help to cure them a lot quicker and provide much desired relief. Along with this method there are several other herbal remedies that you may want to try and use to soothe the discomfort. These include Vitamin C and Vitamin A. If you take these in the pill form they will provide add relieve to your discomfort by strengthening the cells in the tissue in your anus.

3. Over-the-counter

Another hemorrhoids home treatment is an over the counter treatment. There are several products on the market that primarily treat the pain and itching. A few products however do actually treat the cause and help to prevent any future problems. Some of these products are preparation H and Tucks. Most of these creams will give you temparary relief but will not cure the problem. If you want to cure the problem you need to tackle it from with in the body.

4. Venapro

If you want long term relief witout visiting the doctor Venapro is an option to consider. This is an herbal treatment that helps to prevent any future hemorrhoids, this is the best method for preventing problems in the future. If you are still bothered by hemorrhoids then remember ice packs and warm baths are effective in treating the discomfort while using venapro or the other treatment options listed above.

5. Sitz bath

The last and in my opinion the best home hemorrhoid treatment option is the sitz bath. The sitz bath will provide you with instant relieve from the pain and itching that comes with swollen hemorrhoids. A sitz bath is a plastic bowl that goes over the toilet bowl and has a cut in it so the warm water in it can flow out of the plastic bowl. This allows you to add more hot water to the sitz bath and the over flow water goes into the toilet bowl. Combining this treatment with other treatments  is the most effective way to give yourself instant relieve from all of the irritation and itching that comes with hemorrhoid troubles.

Regardless of which method you choose remember the best treatment is to watch your diet and to exercise on a regular basis. If you follow the right diet and exercise regularly you should have no problem keeping your hemorrhoids in line!
